Today, I’m officially launching my campaign for the 2026-2027 Kauaʻi County Council.
This decision didn’t come lightly. Kauaʻi is at a moment where the choices made at the county level will have long-term impacts on our land, our communities, and the way of life that makes this island home.
With multiple open seats on the council this year, it’s more important than ever that we have thoughtful, grounded leadership focused on stewardship, balance, and responsibility. I believe strongly in protecting Kauaʻi’s history and roots while making smart decisions that help our community move forward.
I’m running for County Council because I care deeply about Kauaʻi and the people who call it home. I want to bring practical experience, thoughtful leadership, and a strong sense of accountability to the job.
This campaign is not about chasing headlines or making empty promises. It’s about serving our community, making good decisions, and keeping the County focused on what matters most to local families. Our campaign will be about listening, learning, and showing up. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be out in the community, meeting people where they are, and hearing directly about what matters most to them.

Priorities as we move forward
I’m running for County Council with a simple belief: local government should serve people well, make sound decisions, and stay focused on the fundamentals that affect daily life on Kauaʻi. I’m not interested in politics for the sake of politics. I’m interested in doing the work well.
Put local families first
Every County decision should be viewed through the lens of how it affects local families, working people, and future generations. Whether it’s public safety, infrastructure, parks, planning, or budgeting, the people who live here should come first.
Deliver the basics well
Government does not earn trust through slogans. It earns trust by handling the basics competently. Roads, infrastructure, public facilities, safety, and essential services all matter because they affect daily life in real ways.
We need leadership that respects the importance of these responsibilities and follows through.
Protect public safety
Public safety should remain a top priority. Residents deserve a County government that takes its responsibility seriously when it comes to safe infrastructure, emergency preparedness, and the basic conditions that help keep our communities secure.
Respect taxpayer dollars
The public has every right to expect good stewardship of public money. County government should be responsible, transparent, practical, and focused on value. We should make decisions carefully, prioritize wisely, and remember that every public dollar represents the work and sacrifice of our community.
Lead with Accountability and Good Judgment
Kauaʻi does not need more noise. It needs leaders who can listen, ask good questions, think critically, and make decisions with integrity.
I believe in accountability, follow-through, and keeping the focus on what actually helps our island move forward.
